Sermon Outline:
1. Refining Is Personal and Precise
• “He will sit as a refiner…” (Malachi 3:3)
• God stays close during your testing. He watches over the process carefully.
2. Refining Is Purposeful
• “You refined us like silver…” (Psalm 66:10)
• God is removing what no longer serves your purpose so He can reveal who you really are.
3. Refining Requires Surrender
• “When He has tried me…” (Job 23:10)
• The more we resist the fire, the longer it lasts. Trusting God in the heat brings transformation.
Reflection Questions:
1. What is God burning off of me in this season?
2. How have I seen His hand on my life even in uncomfortable moments?
3. Am I resisting or surrendering to the process?
Prayer:
“God, You are the Refiner. Sit with me in the fire. Shape me, purify me, and bring me forth as gold. I trust Your process. Even when the heat intensifies, help me to remember that Your hands are steady and Your purpose is sure. Let every impurity that hinders my calling be burned away, so that only Your likeness remains. Amen.”
